Ideas, ideas, ideas...
So I've written down some lyrics for about three songs they're not completely finished. They need a lot of revising and editing, but so far the writing process is going okay. I've been coming out of my shell with telling people what I want to do and be with music. I just don't know how to tell my family, and I don't know if they really think I can do this. Anyway, it was a typical Wednesday I was riding to Atlanta with my mom, and Halsey's song "Colors" came on, and I looked up to the sky and the sun was setting. It was so beautiful, so moving, it inspired me to find the words I had been looking for. So I got out my journal I write songs in, and the right words just came pouring out. By the time we were at the Flip City the song was done, and I only had to stop and think for a good word or line about three times. The other place that really helps me out is in my bedroom while its really late at night. I sometimes sneak out on the front porch when my dad and mom finally go to bed and look at the stars and moon and it all comes to. My kitty likes to come outside and watch me when I'm writing. Since it's late at night he is more alert and whenever something or someone comes he jumps up meows then runs over to me. This keeps me safe though I live in a new and safe neighborhood, and every time it's just neighbors he helps me know when i need to grab him and run inside. One day I even saw a coyote he didn't do anything just walked around, and even stopped to look at me then kept walking. The coyote stayed for a good twenty minutes, he mainly lurked around my yard I guess, because Best Friend (yes that's my cat's actual name) and I were outside. I eventually started writing again, and the coyote helped me write that song, and describe things better. There was one point that I was so caught in writing that I almost forgot that I was a few yards away from a wild animal. Until Best Friend jumped on me and started to hiss, then I was forced to look up and it was in the front yard rolling around in the grass then just started laying down. I've been some inspired to write a song by something so crazy. He eventually took his leave when the sun started to rise, and I'm so glad it was a Friday going into a Saturday. I talked to my neighbors about what happened, and they said his mother and two other siblings lived here since before they started building the neighborhood, which was about 6 or 7 years ago. And my family was the third family to move to the neighborhood. I use to see him around when he was a pup, but I never realized he was the same coyote the whole time. His mother got hit by a car and died just outside the neighborhood about 2 years ago and his two siblings move on after that happened. I guess he just decided to stay behind. I still see him about every one or two weeks. Best Friend doesn't even give me a warning when he comes by. He hasn't got as close as he did that night, but I think he will again. I wrote a song about this coyote it's in more of a human's perspective, but it's by far the best one I've wrote so far. I'm so glad I chose this for 20% time, because if I hadn't I don't think I would even know that Coyote (since he doesn't have a name I call him that) still live in the neighborhood and comes to my house! This is by far one of the best experiences of my life!
